Well Hi – Howdy. Thanks for checking out Sophyology.com.
About me – my passion is deeply engrained in consuming and experimenting with food, coffee, great restaurants, sensational customer service and world wide travel. Mainly tasting food and deciphering food combinations.
My brother is a chef, my mother is an amazing cook and my whole family loves good food. Our family gatherings consist of a lot of quality food.
After all I was practically born on the floor of my parents fruit shop. How can I not be in love with fresh food and how it is transformed into consumable edible expressions of art.
Not only did my parents own award winning fruit shops in Sydney. We also were the Fruit and Vegetable Providors for most of the fine dining restaurants in the Eastern Suburbs and Kirribili House.
Our family expanded its operations and started exporting to Hong Kong. We had 5 of the top restaurants we supplied Fruit and Veg to weekly. Everything that was sent over was hand picked. I mean really – every piece of fruit and vegetable, and every sprig of herb was carefully selected for the Hong Kong export. That was my job, every Wednesday. I was the quality controller.
Funnily enough all this exposure to food as a child and into my teenage years left a large impression on me. As a young kid, top Chef’s at these fine restaurants often treated me with beautiful food to keep me entertained whilst my father unpacked and stocked their restaurants with the finest Fruit and Vegetables Sydney had to offer.
Quality, freshness and the balance of flavors left me with a deep love for food, restaurants and the people who poured all their love into their passion. How could it not! -There were no celebrity Chef’s back then. Just hard working Chef’s. No sexy, dramatic T.V. shows to follow them around. It was raw and bold.
So, here we are today at a young ripe age. Loving life and what it has to offer. I invite you to join my husband and I on our food and travel adventures.
( My Hubby is another foodie, who really likes farm to table style cooking and home style cooking. He often talks about his Grandmother’s Cypriot cooking with fond memories. The all authentic bare essentials.) Me – I like both authentic and fine dining.
Away from food – I run a direct response marketing agency with my hubby. It’s lots of fun.
